It contains general information that all females who are 15 years of age or older already know. You can learn this information from your friends, your mothers and the Internet.
For example, in chapter 5 "Styling at Home" from page 91 to 125, the author shows the readers how to use hair products. He says holding spray is used for finishing hair of all types. To use it, hold it 6-8 inches from your head and spray directly onto hair.
He also shows you how to blow dry your hair.
From page 121 to 122, he shows you how to do French twist with 2 drawings. If you don't know how to do it in advance, you'll certainly won't able to do it after reading this book.
It's a waste of money. "Great Hair" by David Boston and "Good to Great Hair" by Robert Vetica are more useful and easy to learn.

It's a great book for teenagers because it's full of fluff. This book does not show you how to style hair. Nick Arrojo just talks and talks and talks about how the end result but hardly any instruction on how to get there. Also the styles are "meh" - nothing out of the ordinary.
This book boasts of creating styles for weddings, vacations and job interviews... Let me give you a taste of how he describes "creating" the look for job interviews:
"The key element on a job interview is to look professional, polished and well groomed. Make sure you've got a great hair cut and, if you're into color make sure that no roots are showing. You'll be most likely sitting across the desk from the interviewer, so it will be the top half that he or she will be connecting with. Keep your hair out of your face so you don't have to keep pushing it out of your eyes.
Whenever I conduct an interview with a potential employee, I always look for him or her to be wearing a hair shape and style befitting a modern, pulled together professional and, a similar approach is your best bet. DOnt got for a style that you would normally not try to do. I've seen it myself - people come into the interview looking great, and then on their first day of work they look totally different. Make sure you style your hair in that way, if they ask you back, still looks like you when you return."
Like I said, NOTHING about how to style your hair. Completely NOT HELPFUL.
You're better off picking up a magazine from a hair salon than wasting your money on this.

It's such a complete piece of book. Anything you want to know about taking care of your hair and how to get a great style is right here. The only thing I wish for is that the part about showering and washing and drying your hair was in bullet form like many of the other instructions were. I find I go back to that section often to make sure im doing it right. He's very specific!

has lot of pictures, but doesn't really help who wants to fix their own style.
