Three women never thought friendship meant so much until they all went through different trials.
For 10 years Ebony never wanted to face what kind of marriage she really had, until her 10th anniversary and she had not choice.
Six months later and divorced she looks to her girls for support and comfort. On a much needed girls not out Ebony, Shalisa and Mona enjoy a male revue and meet Jackson.
Shalisa is all out for herself, she dates as many men as 24 hours in one day will allow. Will her newest associate be a problem for the girls. Will they over come this as well?
Mona is the sensible one of the trio in a wonderful marriage for 15 years with the man of her dreams; only thing missing in her life is a child.
These three friends understand that God is to be put first and then all else will be fine. I found this to be an easy enjoyable read, Ebony was a bit repititive but that is to be understood given her situation. Overall I did enjoy Just Between Us and I am looking forward to reading Ms. Adkins next story.

Mona has a wonderful relationship with her husband Edwin. It is like they are still on their honeymoon even though it has been 15 years since the day they said "I do." They hope the one thing that can make their relationship unbreakable is worth it.
ShaLisa is a sistergirl from around the way and takes no crap. After years of playing the field, her friends are happy to see that she is settling down. Hopefully her friends will like her new beau and can accept that love just happens.
Ebony has went through the unthinkable, a divorce. Dealing with the remnants of a broken marriage and spirit, moving on sometimes is easier said than done.
When times are tough you realize sometimes your girlfriend is just like having a sister. Just Between us is an enjoyable read and looking forward to more works by Wyndy.

It is through joys and sorrows that we share with each other that we learn the value of true friendships. We've all had our bad experiences, but it's `Just Between Us' and there is never a need to start calling each other out, is it?
Echelons apart, yet as close as sisters, Ebony, Mona and ShaLisa have continued their friendship beyond college. When love, loss, deceit, grief and betrayal materialize the closeness of their friendship, `Just Between Us' allows them to all experience it.
I enjoyed reading Just Between Us, though at times I wanted to seriously hurt a few of the characters. The pain became a consistent repeat and I was hoping for some immediate violence! Words can not express the resilience I would've needed.
Wyndy J. Adkins, debut novel is a good read with an understanding of life's lessons.

Recently divorced Ebony is apprehensive about testing the waters of the dating scene. Emotionally scarred by her husband's infidelity, she doesn't know if she can trust a man again. And she's definitely not going to make anyone else her world again as she had done previously. With the help of her girlfriends Mona and ShaLisa, she's taking it one day at a time. Along comes Jackson, a man determined to win Ebony's heart and trust. Can Jackson help her see that not all men are alike?
ShaLisa, a serial dater, has finally found one man that makes her happy. Will his past affect their chance at a future?
Mona has the love of her life in her husband of fifteen years. The only thing missing is a child that they so desperately want. After suffering miscarriages, should they just leave well enough alone?
Just Between Us is a light easy-to-read story of friendship. Though I would have liked for there to have been a little more action and drama, it was an enjoyable read. Solid debut effort.

Introducing Ebony, Mona and ShaLisa, best friends who fuss, fight, and love one another dearly through it all.
Ebony is suffering with bouts of depression as her life seems to take a dip in the wrong direction. When Mr. Right knocks will she accept his good will?
Mona is the rock who encourages and uplifts her girls. Her happiness is always so contagious. Will she be able to undergo an ill-fated change?
ShaLisa is the embodiment of a ghetto girl. She's wild and likes to party and the element of sharing is alright with her. Can you handle it?
It starts out like BOOM BADA BING, and then it kind of slips with you questioning the characters. It is spiritually good with valid points and I liked it. I would love to see some more ACTION but otherwise it was a good read.
