A dazzling novel in the most untraditional fashion, this is the remarkable story of Henry DeTamble, a dashing, adventuresome librarian who travels involuntarily through time, and Clare Abshire, an artist whose life takes a natural sequential course. Henry and Clare's passionate love affair endures across a sea of time and captures the two lovers in an impossibly romantic trap, and it is Audrey Niffenegger's cinematic storytelling that makes the novel's unconventional chronology so vibrantly triumphant.
An enchanting debut and a spellbinding tale of fate and belief in the bonds of love, The Time Traveler's Wife is destined to captivate readers for years to come.

The movie was almost the perfect translation of the characters from the book ,but they did leave some of them out.The choice of actor's to play Clare and Henry were perfect. Lot's of chemistry between them, very believable. This is one
of my favorite books about love and time travel. It is a lengthy book at 500 and some pages, but is an easy read. Received the
book whithin days of ordering it and was priced just right.

I was a bit thrown at first in the beginning of the book. But, now I am half way through and the author has written a very good story! I wanted to read the story before seeing it in the theaters, and I received the book ahead of schedule. Thanks Amazon!

The TIme Traveler's Wife was a great read in the beginning, but lacked at the end. At first, I couldn't put the book down, but after reading the end, I can't figure out why I couldn't in the first place. The story between Henry and Clare was wonderful! But what was the point in Gomez? I couldn't stand him in this book. As for his wife Charisse, what self-respecting woman would stay with a man like him, knowing that if anything ever happened to her best friend, Clare, that he would try to leave her for Clare. He was a pointless character that the author used to fill in some space. What ever happened to Alba, or Clare afterwards? The ending seemed to be thrown together and lacking in detail, like the author couldn't figure out how to piece it together or got bored writing the book. Other than the ending and the "Gomez" character, it was a real tear jerker that had me crying in the end. I would still recommend it, but with caution.

The two things I like the best about this book... 1. Compared to other books that touch on science fiction (ESPECIALLY time travel!), this is a book that has amazing amounts of coherence. So many of time travel books melt into incoherent gobblygook once people start skipping around. 2. At its heart, it's not really a time travel book at all. It is a book commenting on modern day love and modern philosophy of life. The book made me think, that is the best compliment I can ever give a novel.

Even though this book was 500 + pages I read it fairly quickly. It is a great story of a true romance. I feel like this will one day become a classic. I will definitely read it again.
